Note

Just in case I fall asleep before we get the chance to call, I wanted to give you a rundown of what I wanted to talk about.

Well obviously I would ask about your day, and I would love to hear all about that still.

But then I was going to talk about what I learned from the Roman book.

Did you know that early on, Rome didn’t have a map of the world. They just conquered where they could go, and didn’t have like a large map that they would circle areas to make conquests for. That’s fascinating. Imagine just conquering everything you could reach, It would seem like the world was all yours.

They also thought of directions from east to west, rather than north and south, the way we think. That’s hard for me to explain, but it’s like, you know how we think of the north and south pole and everything, they would think of east and west. Still probably doesn’t make sense, but oh well.

Oh also, there was a battle were a hundred roman soldiers were dying every minute. Isn’t that incredible and very sad in a way? I mean all that death, and for what, for a battle. Hundreds of fathers and sons, just perishing in battle. Heartbreaking to think about, even if it was so long ago.

Anyways, that’s what I learned today from my Rome book.

I also wanted to ask, could we please call more. It really makes my day. Even if it’s just ten minutes or so. Especially if we haven’t seen each other at all during the day or haven’t texted much. It’s really important to me. Makes me feel loved and thought about.

One other thing I was going to propose. We should watch movies or tv shows over call. You remember how we used to do during breaks? It was so fun, and I think we could really have a blast doing it these days too!

Anyways, that’s most of what I was going to say.

I love you very much, and I can’t wait to see and hear you again,
